RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Police have issued four tickets to a truck driver who hit an overpass in northern New Jersey, dropping the trailer on a car and killing a motorist.

Fifty-year-old Ali Mutakabbir of Clifton was headed west of Route 3 when the container hit the Orient Way overpass in Rutherford last month.

The container fell on a car driven by 39-year-old James Hart III, of Bronxville, New York. He was pronounced dead about 45 minutes after the accident.

The crash forced authorities to shut down stretches of the highway for several hours, as crews worked through the overnight hours to repair the damage.

Police Capt. Patrick Feliciano tells The Record (http://bit.ly/1dfRzLt ) newspaper Mutakabbir was given summonses for careless driving, overloading a vehicle, driving an over-height vehicle and obstruction of view.
