A NJ Transit train smacked into a big truck on Monday, according to officials.
The light rail smacked into big rig in Jersey City, and passengers walked off train, according to NJ Transit and NBC New York.
The accident caused a suspension on the Hudson Bergen Light Rail. The train operator sustained a minor injury, according to officials.
PATH was crossing tickets at the following locations: Hoboken Terminal, Newport Station and Exchange Place Station.
NJ Transit reported the incident and the consequences for riders on Twitter:
- NJ TRANSIT @NJTRANSIT #PATH will not be cross honoring #HBLR tickets. Trains are currently running with 15 minute delays both ways.
- NJ TRANSIT @NJTRANSIT #HBLR service has resumed through Newport with 15 min delays both ways following a tractor trailer making contact with a light rail vehicle
- NJ TRANSIT @NJTRANSIT Bayonne serv. is being held temporarily at HBK. #PATH is crossing honoring tickets at the following locations: HBK Term, NP Station, & EPS.
