POCONO TWP., Pa. — A crash involving  a car and a tractor trailer killed one man and forced the closure of a segment of I-80 East Tuesday morning, lehighvalleylive.com reported.

The car, a Ford Focus with New Jersey plates, swerved into the eastbound lane in the vicinity of Tannersville and the Rt. 33/209 interchanges around 6 a.m. before crashing  head-on into the truck. The driver of the car, which burst into flames,  was ejected and later pronounced dead. Police did not immediately release the man’s name pending notification of next-of-kin.

An SUV and a pickup truck crashed into the wreckage, also catching fire. The drivers of the SUV and the pickup were hospitalized while the driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt.
