Driver hospitalized after crash on Route 130 in Burlington City

BURLINGTON CITY — The driver of a sedan that collided with a dump truck on Route 130 in Burlington City early Monday morning was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital with serious injuries, police said.
The 26-year-old man, of Bridgeton, Cumberland County, was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton in serious condition following the 3:45 a.m. crash at in the intersection with High Street, Lt. Alan Snow said.
The man was driving a gray sedan southbound on High Street when he collided with a dump truck traveling northbound on Route 130. The truck is owned by Gondul Trucking Inc., based in Delran, Snow said.
The truck was driven by a 53-year-old man from Nottingham, Pa. He was treated at the scene, Snow said.
The collision closed the state highway in both directions until about 7:45 a.m., Snow said.
The dump truck crash is under investigation, Snow said.
The Burlington Township Police, New Jersey State Police, state Department of Transportation, Burlington city Fire Department and Fire Police also responded, Snow said.
